HCEA Adds Branch Manager

Mr. David M. Harmanos, PE has joined our firm as the new Branch Manager of our Philadelphia office location, while Mr. Matthew B. Van Rensler, PE has moved to the role of Regional Manager of Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Mr. Harmanos is a Drexel University graduate with a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering, with a concentration in geotechnical and geosynthetics for his master’s degree. He is also a Ph.D. candidate for his research on geosynthetics, with two publications regarding the topic. Mr. Harmanos provides over 20 years of experience in project management, sales, marketing, heavy construction, geotechnical engineering, geotechnical laboratory testing, and geosynthetics application design. He specializes in commercial, industrial and institutional foundation design, retaining wall and steep slope design, sinkhole remediation, landfill design, site work, forensic engineering, and Construction Quality Control/Assurance (CQA/QC). We are very excited to have Mr. Harmanos on board and look forward to the expertise he will be contributing to Hillis-Carnes.
