Hillis-Carnes Welcomes New Specialty Construction Group Geotechnical Engineer
Hillis-Carnes Specialty Construction Group (SCG) is pleased to announce that Colin Kuehn, P.E., has joined the HCEA family and will be serving as a Senior Project Manager/Professional Engineer.
Colin holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Temple University and brings over nine years of experience managing Heavy Civil projects in the Mid-Atlantic region. Colin spent the past five years as a Geotechnical Construction Project Manager where he specialized in providing geotechnical solutions on complex projects for the public, private, and industrial sectors.
As a Geotechnical Construction Project Manager, Colin’s responsibilities will include the development and management of specialty geotechnical construction designs with an emphasis on temporary and permanent anchored earth retention systems, including soil nail walls, tieback walls, and braced and cantilevered support systems. Colin has experience with micropiles, drilled shafts, driven piles, underpinning and other unique systems for the support of existing structures. His role will also include estimating projects, managing and executing construction operations, maintaining relationships with current clients and business development.
