	Project Name: National Biodefense Anaylsis and Countermeasures Center (NBACC) Project Location: Fort Detrick, Frederick, MD Site Construction Cost: $363 Million Nature of Firm's Responsibility: Construction Materials Testing & Inspection Services Completion Date: 2008 Description: The facility will be located at the new National Interagency Biodefense Campus (NIBC). The NIBC campus includes laboratory facilities belonging to the Department of Defense, the Department of Agriculture and the National Institutes of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the Department of Health and Human Services. The seven (7) story laboratory building, constructed of mild steel reinforced cast-in-place concrete, will comprise roughly 160,000 gross square feet with a concentration of research and associated space and will house two centers. Hillis-Carnes is contracted to perform construction materials testing and inspection services to include: earthwork & utilities, micro piles, Hot-Mix Asphalt Paving, Cast-In-Place Concrete & Reinforcing Steel (pile caps, grade beams, columns, slabs), Fabrication of Test Cylinders, Floor Flatness/Levelness, Masonry, Structural Steel, and Light Gauge Steel.
	Project Name: Washington Nationals Major League Ballpark Project Location: Washington, DC Nature of Firm's Responsibility: Construction Materials Testing & Inspection Services Site Construction Cost: $611Million Completion Date: Spring, 2008 Description: This new ballpark will consist of approximately 41,000 total seats to include the lower bowl seats, club seats, suite seats, and upper seating bowl seats. The design also calls for a 1225-car/30-bus parking and loading dock. Hillis-Carnes is providing field testing and inspection of: piles, soils, reinforcing steel bars, cast-in-place concrete, masonry, structural steel, precast and the fabrication of concrete test cylinders. Periodic plant inspection for the piles, structural steel and precast concrete will also be provided.		a
	Project Name: Our Daily Bread Employment Center Project Location: Baltimore, MD Nature of Firm's Responsibility: Construction Materials Testing & Inspection Services Site Construction Cost: $14 Million Completion Date: Late 2006 Description: Hillis-Carnes peformed the CMT services to include all deep foundations, caissons, soils, and slab-on-grade for this 52,000 square foot, 3-story building that will include a soup kitchen, a live-in job skills training center, offices and classrooms.
	Project Name: The Ritz-Carlton Residences - Inner Harbor Project Location: Baltimore, MD Nature of Firm's Responsibility: Construction Materials Testing & Inspection Services Site Construction Cost: $250 Million Completion Date: Early 2008 Description: Hillis-Carnes is contracted to perform the construction materials testing and inspection services (reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, structural steel, and masonry) fo rthe 7-story, 182-unit luxury condominium complex that includes six reinforced concrete buildings, a 400-space parking garage, and a pedestrian bridge.
