Hillis-Carnes Completes Integration of Clendenin Consulting & Remediation Group (CCRG)

Hillis-Carnes is pleased to announce the planned name change and branding of Clendenin Consulting & Remediation Group (CCRG) to Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates, Inc.

CCRG was established by Mr. Bruce Clendenin, CPG, in 1989, earning a strong reputation as one of the top providers of geotechnical, environmental, and geologic consulting services for public and private sector clients primarily in the Northern Virginia market. In 2022, Hillis-Carnes acquired CCRG to expand our regional presence and service capabilities in Northern Virginia and its surrounding areas.

Over the past three years, we’ve seamlessly integrated CCRG’s team and expertise into our operations—enhancing our capacity to deliver responsive, high-quality solutions to clients.

Mr. Bruce Clendenin, CPG, will continue to be actively involved with our Leesburg, Virginia, office as he transitions into a Principal role, providing strategic guidance and supporting the growth of our geotechnical, environmental site characterization, and remediation services. A new Branch Leader for Leesburg will start on September 1, 2025.

Effective immediately, all operations will move forward under the Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates, Inc.’s name. We are excited about the future and remain committed to providing exceptional service and technical excellence.
