Internships
Hands-On Learning With Our Summer Internships
We welcome undergraduate students completing their second or third year to contact us about our paid summer internships. This is a chance to work with a high-end geotechnical firm under the mentorship of department leaders who will guide you toward your next steps in the industry.
You can apply your coursework to practical applications to deepen your understanding, and you’ll gain the advantage of early exposure to real-world conditions. Responsibilities are often related to Construction Materials Testing and Field Inspections, but we can modify your experience to include your other interests in geotechnical engineering. You’ll work on a wide range of projects (residential, commercial and industrial) in multiple sectors.
Because our interns are potential candidates for hire following graduation, our recruitment process is the same as it is for employees, including a background check, drug screening and interview(s). Internships are full-time (40 hours per week) for the length of your summer break.
Please send your resume and a cover letter expressing your interest to resume@hcea.com. You may also send your questions to our human resources manager, Brenda Frank.
